The countdown to Super Bowl 50 is here, and both 17-1 Carolina and 14-4 Denver are working hard getting ready for Sunday. This is the first Super Bowl in the San Francisco area since January 20, 1985 at Stanford Super Bowl XIX (San Francisco 38-Miami 16).

The Vikings are back in the playoffs as they clinched the NFC’s final playoff spot by dominating the New York Giants 49-17 Sunday night at frigid TCF Stadium. Adrian Peterson ran for 104 yards and scored his 10th touchdown of the season.

The NFL Vikings, the NHL Wild, and NBA Timberwolves all had road games in Arizona on Thursday, December 10, Friday, December 11, and Sunday, December 13. Unfortunately they all lost.

The high-flying 10-2 Arizona Cardinals, winners of six straight games, will welcome the 8-4 Minnesota Vikings Thursday Night to University of Phoenix Stadium for a prime time (7:25 pm) showdown on the NFL Network.
Adrian Peterson carries Vikings to victory
The NFL’s leading rusher, Adrian Peterson, again carried the Vikings to victory over the Atlanta Falcons 20-10. It was the Vikings’ sixth win in their last seven games, and they have regained sole possession of first place in the NFC North. The Packers, now 7-4, are a game back after losing to the Bears on Thanksgiving.
Vikings fans be thankful — we’re well ahead of last year
Vikings and Packers are now tied for first in the NFC North at 7-3 after Green Bay came in and beat the Vikings 30-13 at sold-out TCF Bank Stadium. Packers have beaten the Vikings 10 of the last 12 meetings. The Vikings will have to wait for another chance until January 3, 2016, when they play the Packers in the regular-season finale.
Hot Vikings win 5th straight!
Suddenly the Vikings are as hot as firecrackers. After winning their fifth straight 30-14 over the Oakland Raiders, the Vikings have taken over sole possession of first place in the NFC North.
Vikings win again — but Bridgewater hurt!
Despite losing star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a concussion early in the fourth quarter, the Vikings won their fourth-straight game 21-18 in overtime over the St. Louis Rams. Kicker Blair Walsh again kicked the 40 yard game winning field goal.
