As the oldest Black-owned business in Minnesota and one of the oldest African American newspapers in the country, the MSR has been more than a publication—it has been a beacon for justice, truth, and empowerment. For nine decades, we’ve told the stories that shape our community and illuminate the struggles and triumphs of Black life in Minnesota and beyond.
