Charles Hallman and Dr. Mitchell Palmer McDonald interviewed Lisa Lissimore, a recently retired administrator and former high school and collegiate basketball player in the Twin Cities metro area.
As an athlete, she was a member of the first girl’s basketball team at St. Paul Central High School to win the Class AA state girls’ basketball championship in 1976. Upon graduation in 1978, Lissimore played for the women’s basketball team at the University of Minnesota before finishing at Grandview College (Iowa). She recently retired as a Minnesota State High School League associate director.
