A Lifelong Commitment to Basketball and Youth Development

Ronnie Smith moved to Minnesota during his teenage years, attending St. Paul Central, where he played varsity basketball and graduated in 1976. His love for the game extended beyond the court as he dedicated himself to shaping young athletes through his work in St. Paul recreation centers, including Jimmy Lee, MLK, and Palace.

Through decades of coaching, Ronnie has guided boysโ€™ basketball teams at the recreational level and high school teams at Como Park, Highland Park, and Saint Agnes. His impact is evident in the countless players who have grown under his mentorship.

Currently, Ronnie continues to share his passion for basketball as an assistant girlsโ€™ basketball coach at St. Paul Como Park, nurturing a new generation of athletes with his unwavering dedication.
