From his days as a standout at St. Paul Highland Park to his time as a Harlem Globetrotter, and now as a dedicated teacher, Brown has lived a life of service and inspiration.
A Journey Through Basketball
Brown’s journey began at St. Paul Highland Park, where his talent on the court earned him opportunities at Barber Scotia College and Southwest State University. His skills propelled him to the professional ranks, where he played in Switzerland, South America, and England before joining the legendary Harlem Globetrotters. But even as he traveled the world showcasing his athleticism and showmanship, Brown’s heart remained with the communities that had shaped him.
From Court to Classroom
After his basketball career, Brown transitioned into education, bringing the same dedication and passion he had on the court into the classroom. For a decade, he served as a Behavior Specialist, guiding students through challenges with empathy and wisdom. Today, he continues to inspire as a Physical Education and Health teacher at Gordon Parks High School, where he encourages students to strive for excellence in both academics and athletics.
