The PWHL closed its inaugural season with a second annual draft, featuring 42 players, including Wisconsin’s Chayla Edwards, the only Black player who declared for the seven-round draft.
‘I think it’s great that there’s a group of girls of color coming,” said Edwards, who’s from Cleveland. “That’s kind of what I want to work towards.’
