Minnesota and Illinois in women’s tennis have met 32 times since 1991, and the 33rd meeting was the first time ever that both schools’ squads were coached by Black women, Lois Arterberry and Gabrielle Moore, who once were college teammates at Southern University.

Black female head coaches Lois Arterberry and Gabrielle Moore will face each other for the first time this season when Minnesota hosts Indiana in women’s tennis, with both coaches having a rich history in college tennis.
