Eczema in people of color can appear as hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, or thickened skin, and is more prevalent and severe in Black children compared to white children, and can be managed with good skin care and early treatment.
The word ‘eczema’ refers to dehydrated, rough and inflamed skin.
