The state’s first high school girls flag football league begins its season on April 27, with 51 high schools competing on five consecutive Sundays this spring, and the NFL club contributing $600,000 to support the new league and the participating high schools.

Vikings to honor Dennis Green on Sunday
0-2 Buffalo is here Sunday when the Vikings will honor at halftime former head coach Dennis Green by inducting him into the team’s Ring of Honor. Green’s family, including his window Marie Green, daughters Patti and Vanessa, and son Zachary will receive a personal artist-painted portrait of Green.

Tragedy strikes the Vikings
Sparano, in his third season with the Vikings, was 58 years old. He was one of the big reasons the Vikings had their best season in 2017 since 2004, winning 14 games and losing to eventual Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia in the NFC Championship game.
