Kwame’s Kapsules

Editor’s note: This week, we will not feature the Black Coaches due to holiday deadlines. But, we will bring you up to date in the next edition.
So many times we end the year with the best of….and what to expect next year. This year, rather than looking back this columnist is looking forward to 2011!
Here are six items on my wish list for 2011:
1. That forward ROYCE WHITE (Hopkins, DeLaSalle) does well at Iowa State and plays for Cyclones’ men’s basketball team.
2. The Minnesota Vikings get a young, talented quarterback, like JOE WEBB, and are patient with him like most coaches are with White quarterbacks.
3. University of Minnesota women’s basketball Coach PAM BORTON uses guard
LEAH COTTON, the team’s second highest scorer, more.
4. That University of Minnesota point guard AL NOLEN can play the rest of the season uninterrupted.
5. That forward TREVOR MBAKWE (St. Bernard’s) continues his outstanding play for the Gophers men’s basketball team.
6. That if Gophers men’s basketball coach TUBBY SMITH were to leave, that he would end up with the Charlotte Bobcats, owned by MICHAEL JORDAN, in the NBA.
