St. Paul Humboldt senior CALVIN CLARK won the 100 (11.19), 200 (22.28) and 400 meters (49.66) last weekend, repeating the dominance he displayed a year earlier at the Class A Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field Championships at Hamline University.
Clark’s performance had such an impact that his 36 points were good enough for a second-place team finish for the Hawks, despite him being the only representative from the Westside school. Clark’s dominant performance was one of many last weekend. Alownle performs well RJ ALOWNLE (Park) captured the 110-meter hurdles (14.46) and the 300-meter hurdles (37.32). Tambe the fastest AYUK TAMBE’s (Blaine) time of 11.17 garnered him first-place honors in the 100 meters.
Hooks, Crockett, Wilson, Stewart lead Apple Valley QUINN HOOKS, JORDAN CROCKETT, STEVE WILSON and JALEN STEWART led Apple Valley to a first-place finish in the 4×100 relay. Yedoni leaps to victory twice TREVO YEDONI (Benilde-St. Margaret’s) won the high jump (6-10) and the long jump (23-0).
Sande continues triple dominance MICHAEL SANDE (Eden Prairie) won the triple jump again with a leap of 49-04.
