Ra’Shya Cunningham is the recipient of the 2011 Fredrikson & Byron Foundation Minority Scholarship. This is the 19th year of the firm’s minority scholarship program, which is typically awarded each year to an exceptional first-year minority law school student. The foundation awarded $10,000 for the 2011 scholarship.
Cunningham is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis and expects to earn her J.D. in May 2013. She earned a Master in Business Administration in 2010 and an undergraduate degree — a B.S. in public administration — in 2009 from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
The minority scholarship is awarded by the Minneapolis-based law firm Fredrikson & Byron based on law school performance, professional references, work and other activities, writing samples, and personal interviews. First-year law students are encouraged to call 612-492-7000 or go to www.fredlaw.com for more information and to apply.
