Janelle Monáe was a recent hit at the Coachella music festival in Indio, California. According to critics and concert goers she was all the rave. Monàe has been setting the music world on fire for several years with the commercial success of her ArchAndroid CD and the popular release “Tightrope.”

In her short career, music people in the know have recognized her potential and unique talent, as evidenced by her Grammy nominations and collaborations with such notables as Big Boi, Sean Combs, and Bruno Mars (ArchAndroid was nominated in 2010 for Best Contemporary R&B Album).

Some may recognize her as one of the driving voices behind “We are Young” by the popular group FUN, which topped music charts, last year.

Janelle is hoping for a bit more notoriety with the release this week of her new single Q.U.E.E.N. Erykah Badu accompanies her on the song.
