A large and very diverse crowd made its way to the Great Minnesota Get-Together on its final day. A total of 178,867 people attended on Labor Day, September 7, breaking the previous record for Labor Day attendance set back in 2013.
The smell of fried foods and chatter filled the air, as attendees made their last rounds before heading home to get ready for the start of school or work.
But as night approached, the fair came alive and the lights brought a bittersweet beauty to the winding down of the 2015 Minnesota State Fair.
