St. Paul Highland Park put on a clinic in both defense and offense in a high school football matchup against St. Paul Johnson last Saturday evening in a Twin City District contest.

Quarterback CHARLES KLUG passed for 314 yards and five touchdowns and also ran for another score in leading the host Scots to a 47-27 victory over the Governors, who had a hard time keeping up after answering Highland’s first touchdown with a score of their own.
When Klug wasn’t throwing touchdowns, running back ANTONIO ORTIZ was taking care of business on the ground, finishing with 157 yards and one touchdown while averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

ENRIQUE ORTIZ led an outstanding defensive effort with nine solo tackles, while AMITRI COLLINS-WESTLUND — who also caught two touchdown passes to go along with 117 yards receiving — had four solo tackles.
