John Bezdicek scored 21 points, Kameron Bettie had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Mar Mar Hughes came off the bench to chip in 12 and Allan Anderson and Demario Armstrong provided steady guard play in leading Osseo, the top seed in Class AAAA boys’ state basketball tournament, to an 85-73 quarterfinal victory over Eden Prairie at the Target Center Wednesday morning.
The Orioles, with no player named to the All-Metro team, took control early racing out to 39-24 halftime lead.
Eden Prairie charged back but the steady play of Anderson — who also scored 11 points — and Armstrong, who punctuated the victory with a two-handed slam dunk, provided an answer each time they the Eagles threatened.
