On Monday, April 11 a group of mostly White supporters disrupted the Twins opener against the Chicago White Sox at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North, and North 5th Street to demand that the Jamar Clark case be re-opened, as well as to bring attention to the racial inequalities in the Twin Cities and around the country. The purpose of the protest was to put White bodies on the line for Black lives.

Though some were in support of the rally, there were also hecklers screaming for protesters to “get a job.” One fan passed protesters and yelled, “I took PTO to go to this game.”

There were 25 people arrested and put onto a Metro Transit bus and then transported to Hennepin County in downtown Minneapolis where they were booked and released. The light rail was shut down for a total of 90 minutes due to the disruption.
