On Monday, June 6, Gov. Dayton and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith declared Tuesday, June 7, 2016 as “Prince Day” in the state of Minnesota ahead of what would have been the music pioneer’s 58th birthday. The declaration is meant to “celebrate Prince’s life and many contributions – not only in arts and culture, but also in his many acts of service to his fellow Minnesotans,” according to the news release.
The Twin Cities will be full of celebrations honoring the life and legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson this week. Below we’ve compiled a list of events in the Twin Cities. If you know of more events, send us an email or use the comment section below and we’ll add it to our list.
