Project Minnesota hosted “Concert Across America to End Gun Violence,” Sunday, September 25 with goal of raising awareness about gun violence and to encourage lawmakers to passing gun legislation.

International Market Square marked the spot for the concert, which was produced by musical great JD Steele. The concert included performances by three popular bands — The R Factor, New Sound Underground, and JD Steele — plus two community choirs.

(Below, see video highlights, including comments by JD Steele and Dr. Peter Hayden, CEO and Founder of Turning Point. In July, Hayden’s daughter Taylor Hayden was shot and killed during a senseless act of violence while visiting Atlanta).

Between musical sets, Protect Minnesota recognized key community leaders and organizational partners in the fight against gun violence. A voter registration and tabling by sponsors also took place.
