Attendees of the Sister Spokesman: “Summer Steppin’” event danced the afternoon away at the Minneapolis Urban League July 8. Steppin’ to tunes such as the “Cupid Shuffle” and “Steel Horseman,” attendees found the perfect escape from the midday heat, while still working up a sweat.

Harris Parks, line dance instructor of “We Are Family” Dance Company, showed great expertise and patience as he taught the crowd new moves. “You’re gonna mess up, you’re gonna make mistakes, but that’s part of it,” he told the MSR after the event.

With great food, games, prizes, and dancing, this event was the perfect networking opportunity for both inexperienced and advanced line dancers.
