This week’s “Fab Five” photos feature a former athletic director’s jersey retirement by the college he played basketball for (Al Frost Jr.), a former prep girls’ basketball player having her jersey retired (Andrayah Adams), two future University of Minnesota basketball players going head-to-head in a high school matchup (Daniel Oturu and Gabe Kalscheur), and a ninth grader leading her team to victory against a conference rival (Jade Hill).

Former St. Paul Como Park girls’ basketball standout Andrayah Adams, now a sophomore guard at St. John’s University-NY, recently had her jersey number retired at a ceremony held at the school. She scored 3,238 career points after starting her varsity career as a 7th grader.

Former Minneapolis Roosevelt Athletic Director Al Frost Jr. recently had his jersey retired during a ceremony at Hamline University. Frost played at the school from 1963-1967, averaging 29.1 points per game for Hamline during his senior year.

Minneapolis South freshman guard Jade Hill scored a game-high 32 points in leading her team to a 71-67 victory over City Conference rival Minneapolis North.

Senior forward and University of Minnesota men’s basketball signee Daniel Oturu (25) scores two of his 25 points leading Cretin Derham Hall to a recent 77-66 victory over DeLaSalle.

Senior Gabe Kalscheur, a University of Minnesota signee, led the way with 24 points in the Islanders’ 77-66 loss to Cretin Derham Hall.
