The Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder (MSR), the oldest Black business and newspaper in Minnesota, gathered contributors both new and seasoned for a meet-and-greet and to celebrate Black History Month on Friday, Feb. 23.

Writers, photographers and faithful friends of the newspaper packed the 3744 Fourth Avenue South building in Minneapolis — a local historical landmark — to enjoy each other’s company and share Famous Dave’s BBQ generously provided by Dr. Charles Crutchfield Dermatology.
