Believe it or not, spring is just around the corner. But along with the much-welcomed warm-up comes the slush, puddles, and slick sidewalks and streets as melting snow in the day becomes ice at night.

So, itโ€™s as important to re-up the sand or ice-melting material to minimize slips. Itโ€™s also great to have a bucket of sand on-hand as you travel to avoid having your car stuck on a slick road.

Did you know the City of Minneapolis offers several sites where residents can pick-up a FREE sand-salt mixture for their residential sidewalks and driveways? Locations are open 24-hours-a-day. Just bring your own pail and shovel!
