Need help with your computer or other devices? As part of Minneapolis Tech Month in April, Emerge Technology Center will host a Fix-It Tech event on Thursday, April 11. Bring your laptops, desktop towers, with power cords, to work with volunteers to repair your device.
Fix-It Tech event goals are three-fold:
Educate the community: Residents can get their items fixed as well as get tech questions answered and find tips on how to maintain and protect personal devices.
Experience for IT students: IT students can gain experience in tech support alongside IT professionals and connect with residents concerning their technology needs.
Raise awareness of technology programs: The event provides a venue to promote free digital literacy training resources, low-cost computer and Internet options, local IT education programs, and IT careers.
