
Lenora Bogan, 89, Minneapolis, passed away on July 23, 2019 peacefully at her home with her love ones by her side. She was born on June 9, 1930, to the late Hardy Robinson and Mary Elizabeth Armstrong, in LaPine, Alabama. She was one of 10 siblings and was affectionately known as “HoneyBee” to many, mom, granny, aunt bee, godmother, Mother Bogan and Mrs. Bogan to others.
Her firm and loving hugs would brighten anyone’s day along with her motherly love, and her no-nonsense straight talk. She was preceded in death by her parents Hardy and Mary Robinson, siblings Sam Robinson, Neal Robinson, Dan Robinson, George Robinson, Ben Robinson, Johnny Robinson, and Pearlie Mae Owens.
Honeybee leaves to cherish her precious memories, “the love of her life” and husband of 62 years, Robert “RL” Bogan, Sr., one son, Robert Bogan Jr (Ann) of Evanston, IL, and one daughter, Darlene Bell (Curtis) of Brooklyn Park, MN., 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two sisters Vaddis “Nellie” Henderson of Ocoee, Florida, and Bessie Ridgeway of Montgomery, AL, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and an immeasurable amount of special friends.
