The Minnesota State Fair has come and gone, but the Minnesota Renaissance Festival goeth forth, serving up its 16th Century delights until Sept. 29.
Billed as the largest renaissance fest in the nation, the gathering of lords, ladies and big ole turkey legs, brings upwards of 300,000 people to its Shakopee grounds each year. Behold! We spotted some Black folks on the village streets Sept. 8.

Eleathea Garry, Donnie Roberson, Mick Lizner, and Gordon Wainwright pose for a group photo. Garry and Roberson said they were traditional State Fairgoers, but made the switch and have attended the Ren. Festival for the past two years.
