On a night in which Minnesota Timberwolves forward Gorgui Dieng received the NBA Community Assist Award before tip-off, teammate Andrew Wiggins scored 40 points — including a driving layup with 5.6 let in regulation—in a 125-119 overtime victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Target Center on Nov. 8.

The Wolves overcame a 52-point performance by guard De’Angelo Russell. Karl-Anthony Towns had 20, Robert Covington 17, and Josh Okogie and Jack Laymon each chipped in 14 for the Wolves (5-3).
