The University of Minnesota volleyball team, ranked No. 5 in the nation, split its two contest last weekend losing to No. 7 University of Wisconsin 3-1 last Friday and sweeping No. 23 Michigan 3-0 the following evening at Maturi Pavillion.
In the first game against the Badgers, Adanna Rollins had 16 kills and 14 digs for the Gophers. Airi Miyabe and Alexis Hart each contributed 12 kills, Regan Pittman had 11, Taylor Morgan eight and Stephanie Samedy five.
Morgan led the way with nine kills, Claire Sheehan eight, Miyabe, eight, Samedy seven, Hart six and Pittman had a team-high nine blocks in the win over the Wolverines.
The Gophers are currently 20-4 overall, and 14-2 in Big Ten play.
