Senior center Jesse Foster led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points—13 in the first half—to lead St. Paul Johnson (5-6, 1-0) to a 67-61 City Conference victory over St. Paul Central (2- 8, 0-1) Jan. 9.
The visiting Governors were able to offset a dominating performance by guard Caron Crowe. The senior guard led the Minutemen with 28 points and while backcourt mate Gedeon Musabyi added 10, it wasn’t enough as Larry Harris (14 points), Julian Hodges (11), Quijuan Lewis (11) and Ishmael David (10) each scored in double figures contributing to Johnson’s victory.
