Are you longing to get out and experience live theater but are feeling a pinch in the pocketbook? At Mixed Blood Theatre you can enjoy professional theatre in Minneapolis completely free. That’s right—free. The initiative is what Mixed Blood calls Radical Hospitality— a way to break down barriers that prevent people from experiencing live theatre.
Cost is often a reason people don’t partake in the theatre, but Mixed Blood is dedicated to eliminating cost concerns and leveling the playing field for all to enjoy the live theater experience.
There is no admission cost for all who attend mainstage shows. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis beginning two hours before every performance.
Mixed Blood’s commitment to removing barriers to theatre goes beyond cost as well, featuring:
- A fully accessible building
- Free transportation to and from the homes of those living with disabilities for those who request it
- Supertitles
- Audio descriptions
- ASL interpretation
- Space for guide dogs
And more!
Mixed Blood’s new season began on March 6 with the show “INTERSTATE.” For more info, visit mixedblood.com/radical-hospitality.
