Juan L. (Witherspoon) Turner, age 88 was born in Enid, OK, and moved to Minneapolis in 1936. She died on July 28, 2020. Juan was the wife of Donald Turner and parent of Raymond C., Donald F. Jr., Ronald F. (Michelle), Juan L. (Effiom-Ita), Yvonne F., Yvette K., and Steve H. (Veronica). She is survived by 18
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her husband, parents, grandparents, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Juan was employed by General Hospital as a charge nurse. She was instrumental in setting up Pilot City Health Clinic (now NorthPoint Clinic) and ended her career teaching nursing at the former Minneapolis Community College and St. Olaf Nursing Home.
She was a member in good standing at Greater Friendship MB Church. She and her husband were made Chiefs in Lagos Nigeria in 1994. Juan’s four sons, three daughters, one brother, three sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will miss her loving ways.
