After postponing twice due to quarantine, on Saturday, September 12 Crooner’s Supper Club in Minneapolis paid tribute to one of the most influential artists our world has seen. Nearly 60 years after his debut album, it truly is a wonder that people of all generations and cultural backgrounds are still being uplifted by the music of Stevie Wonder.
Featuring some of Minnesota’s favorite voices like the eccentric Jay Bee, Lynval Jackson, LaMont Keten, and the explosive Kevin Jackson, as well as a number of Minnesota’s finest, including Ryan Bynum stirring the keys; multi-instrumentalist José (JJ) James, Kevin Anderson, and Art Haynes, the music of Stevie Wonder warmed the cool breeze at this intimate outdoor event.
