
Kayla McBride scored 13 of her game-high 25 points in the second half, including a jumper with three minutes left to give host Minnesota an 85-79 win over Dallas Wednesday night in Minneapolis.
The Lynx went small and got back in the game after trailing as much as eight with a 10-2 run in the final stanza to lead 70-67 with 5:50 left. Both teams traded baskets but McBride’ J and Layshia Clarendon’s ball-hawking clinched the victory.
Key stat – All five Minnesota starters finished in double figures. Sylvia Fowles had the game’s only double-double (15 points, 11 boards).
Eye test – She didn’t score but Jessica Sheppard along with Bridget Carleton played hellous defense in the second half when the Lynx went small.
