It’s summertime, and the living is easy. I hope you are living your best life! Dear Auntie wants you to be as happy as you can be, as life is too short not to have some fun. So, look for any reason you can to just celebrate any occasion this summer.
For me, this is the month where there is a lot of good food to eat. Did you know that July 6 was National Fried Chicken Day; July 7 was National Strawberry Sundae and World Chocolate Day, and July 18 was National Ice Cream Day?
Dear Auntie,
I’m upset today because my husband asks me for a divorce. We married one year ago; he was so lovely; I thought he was my Prince Charming. Now I know he just used me to get his citizenship to America! How stupid of me?! What I want to do is go to [immigration] and turn him in. What do you think—do you agree with me?
Dear Reader,
We all have gone through some form of hurt in the game of love. That’s the chance we all take. I understand that you feel anger; now you have to ask yourself: Who will pay the price of turning in this man you love? Why are you turning him in?
I know you may feel that revenge will bring you joy, but for how long? How does that benefit you? Maybe deep in your heart, you knew this man was too good to be true. You need to ask yourself these questions and take time to think about what your decision should be. I want you to just put your safety and wellness first and enjoy your best life.
Remember, Dear Auntie is here to give you advice, but you have to make the final decision.
