The Minnesota Oncology and the Minnesota Urology Foundation will host a free prostate cancer screening test (PSA blood test) on September 22, 2021, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Minnesota Oncology Cornerstone Building, located at 6025 Lake Road in Woodbury.
Test results will be shared within one week of the test.
The event will also offer the opportunity to speak with a board-certified urologist and take a tour through an inflatable prostate (pictured above).
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men. One in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is key to successful treatment. A simple blood test can help detect prostate cancer.
The recommendation is for men to begin screening for prostate cancer at age 50. Men of African descent or men with a family history of prostate cancer should begin at age 40.
RSVP in advance at 651-705-6693 or email info@mnurologyfoundation.org. Walk-ins are welcome.
