The fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disproportionally impact communities of color and at-risk populations where economic and other barriers to health care provide an increase in the occurrence of preventable disease.
To address such needs, NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center in Minneapolis will host a See, Test & Treat event, as part of a national health initiative sponsored by the CAP Foundation. The event will offer free breast and cervical cancer screenings with same-day results and treatment plans. It will also act as a community health fair, providing other services and education while tying patients into accessible health systems within their community.
The event is from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 2, at NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center, located at 1313 Penn Avenue in North Minneapolis. Folks are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 612-767-0338. Walk-in availability can not be guaranteed, but future appointments to accommodate those unable to be seen during walk-ins.
