It was quite the homecoming for the Hamline University football team as senior quarterback Connor Leavens passed for three touchdowns, connecting twice with senior receiver Ryder Hutton and once with sophomore Charlie Wilson for scores.
Together they led the Pipers (3-1) to a 34-18 victory over St. Scholastica (0-2) Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Klas Field for their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) win. Hamline’s first score, one of two field goals by junior kicker Lucius Negrillo during first period, was set up by a 61-yard pass play from Leavens to senior receiver Triston Thomas. It was all Pipers after that.
