The Twin Cities Black Journalists and the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder have partnered to offer a fall internship to a college student interested in gaining newsroom experience at the oldest Black newspaper in Minnesota.
The paper’s mission is to provide timely news and information focused on community empowerment and education while championing underrepresented voices.
Twin Cities Black Journalists was founded in 1987 by professional journalists who advocated to improve the quality of press coverage of Minnesota’s Black community and increase the number of Black journalists employed in newsrooms.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to this Friday, Oct. 8. Students are encouraged to apply. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience and build a portfolio.
