Born October 22, 1923, in St. Joseph, MO, Marion O. Snargrass passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 28, 2021, in Plymouth, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Parker and Alberta Naomi Payne (Peaches), as well as Charles J. Snargrass, Sr., the father of her five children.
Marion was survived by her five children Pamela M. Snargrass Guilmant (Jonathan), Charles J. Snargrass, Jr. (deceased wife Dawn), James R. Snargrass (MaryEllen), Walter C. Snargrass, and Marsha Snargrass Carter (Tony), as well as niece Sharon Snargrass, great-nephews, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life arrangements are through Estes Funeral Chapel, located at 2201 Plymouth Ave. N., Minneapolis MN. Homegoing services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at The Living Word Church and World Outreach Ministries, located at 3255 Spring Street N.E. Minneapolis, MN 55413. Reviewal will take place from 10 am -11 am with services starting at 11:15 am. Repass will follow the service.
Marion O. Snargrass had many accolades and accomplishments. She was one of the founding members of Sabathani Community Center, a board chair, community activist, project coordinator, part of Minneapolis Urban League, and was a diligent worker for over 25 years at Sears, Roebuck & Co.
