It was quite the homecoming for former Minnehaha Academy standout Jalen Suggs as the St. Paul
native scored 15 points to help the Orlando Magic defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-97 in a
NBA game on Monday evening November 1, 2021, at the Target Center.
Suggs, a 6’4” point guard, was Metro Player of the Year, Mr. Basketball, and a McDonald’s All-
American, to name a few, as a high school senior in 2020.
The three-time Class 2A state champion (2017-2019) and former Gonzaga University star had
nearly 200 friends and family in attendance.
The crowd cheered enthusiastically as he was introduced.
