Lillian Arizona Lindsey Reed, a St. Paul resident for 76 years and member of the historic Pilgrim Baptist Church, celebrated her 100th birthday with family at the Sholom Home East. Her birthday is April 27.
Family and friends showered Reed with birthday wishes that included interactive home-made cards and poems from students at South County Middle School in Lorton, Virginia (where Reed’s granddaughter teaches); 150+ cards from her granddaughter and godchildren’s friends; and a personalized letter from her favorite president, Jimmy Carter, commemorating her 100th birthday—an incredible milestone.
The matriarch of the Reed family continues to be the voice of faith, wisdom, and support to her three children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
