Spring weather has finally arrived, and along with warmer temps comes yard work. Just as the City of Minneapolis offers a free salt and sand mix in the colder months, the City also provides free mulch (woodchips) for landscaping.
Pictured above is a mound of mulch in a parking lot on Lake Nokomis Parkway between 50th St. E. and 22nd Ave. S on the north side of the lake.
Other sites:
Armatage Park: The parking lot is on the east side of the 5700 block of Russell Ave. S; mulch is at the south end of the parking lot near a dumpster.
Marshall Terrace Neighborhood: Mulch is located on the north side of 30th Ave. NE just west of Randolph St. NE along the road in a community garden just east of Marshall St. NE.
