Former St. Agnes High School boys basketball stars Parnell Charles and Jahmai Phipps officiated the Twin Cities girls basketball championship game between the St. Paul Como Park Cougars and the Minneapolis Roosevelt Teddies at Como Park High School last Saturday.
Charles, a 1990 graduate, starred in football, basketball, and track. Phipps, as a starting center during his senior year, teamed with Marlon McCoy, Char Davis, Lester Jackson, Craig Vaughn, and Juan Taylor, helping the Aggies to win the Class A state boys basketball championship in 1994. Both are among the state’s top sports officials.
