Christopher Mark Juhn Scott Redd, the CEO and President of the Sabathani Community Center speaks to the attendees of the event right before the ribbon cutting for the Sounds of Blackness Museum.
Twin Cities residents converged in the halls of Sabathani Community Center on Feb. 22, to view its new Living History Museum. The museum aims to celebrate the center’s legacy and those who helped to build it. The Living History Museum was installed in the building a few years ago, but Scott Redd, Sabathani’s president and CEO, felt it wasn’t getting proper attention.
“I thought what better way to have an intergenerational conversation than in a museum that had not been getting much use,” Redd told the MSR. For more on the Living History Museum, go here. See photos from the museum unveiling below. All photos by Chris Juhn.
