This year’s Minnesota State Fair Grandstand is set to bring a nostalgic hip-hop vibe, with the recent announcement that T-Pain and Ludacris will join the lineup. The duo is scheduled to perform together on August 27.
Ludacris has established himself as one of music’s top entertainers, with hits like “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” and “Southern Hospitality,” selling over 24 million albums worldwide. His hit songs were complemented by innovative music videos, expanding the boundaries of rap visuals and paving the way for a successful acting career. Ludacris has appeared in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, Garry Marshall’s “New Year’s Eve,” and Ivan Reitman’s “No Strings Attached,” among other projects.
Since his emergence in 2004, Grammy Award-winning T-Pain has left a significant mark on music and beyond. With hits like “Buy U A Drank” and “Up Down (Do This All Day),” he has sold over 50 million singles, accumulated billions of streams, and secured 10 No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100. T-Pain’s recent viral sensation “On Top of The Covers (Live From The Sun Rose)” and inspiring single “Dreaming” showcased his powerful vocals and dynamic artistry. Notably, he won the first season of FOX’s “The Masked Singer” and has delivered memorable performances on platforms like “Tiny Desk” and “Hot Ones.”
Chance The Rapper was previously announced for a Grandstand show on August 23. Other acts announced earlier include Nate Bargatze, Blake Shelton, the Happy Together Tour 2024, Mötley Crüe, Matchbox Twenty, and KIDZ BOP LIVE 2024. Additional Grandstand artists will be revealed leading up to the 2024 fair.
