The WNBA season recently kicked off, and the Minnesota Lynx didn’t disappoint as they scored a 102-93 home opener victory over the Seattle Storm in double overtime on May 17 Friday evening at Target Center.
The Lynx were led by forward Napheesa Collier’s game-high 29 points. Kayla McBride has 19, Alanna Smith added 16 and Courtney Williams chipped in 10.
Forward Nneka Ogwumike was the high scorer for the Storm with 24 points. Skylar Diggins=Williams added 22 and Jewell Lloyd 10.
McBride’s clutch free throws helped to seal the victory. Not a bad way for the Lynx to play in their home opener.
