Luka Doncic’s game-winning three-pointer lifted the Dallas Mavericks to a 109-108 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, giving them a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals Friday evening, May 24, at Target Center.
The Mavericks, who trailed by 18 points in the first quarter, got a game-high 32 points and a team-leading 10 rebounds and 13 assists from Doncic. Kyrie Irving added 20, Daniel Gafford 16, Dereck Lively II 14, and P.J. Washington Jr. 10.
Naz Reid led the Wolves with 23 points. Anthony Ewards had 21, Mike Conley added 18, Rudy Gobert chipped in 18, and Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 15.
Down 2-0 in the series, the Wolves will attempt a comeback on Sunday, May 26, at 7 p.m. in Dallas.
