Tuesday, September 17, is National Voter Registration Day. If you’re not registered to vote, now is a great time to register. You can do so easily by visiting the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder’s Voter Registration Hub.
Even if you’ve already registered, verifying that your registration details are current and accurate is a good idea.
Note that pre-registration for the November 2024 General Election closes on October 15. If you miss this deadline, you can still register at your polling place on Election Day.
Important election dates
- September 20: Absentee voting begins for the general election
- October 15: General election deadline to pre-register to vote
- November 4: In-person absentee voting closes at 5 p.m.
- November 5: General Election Day (polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
