Jade Hill at the end of the 2024-25 school year will be a member of the USTโ€™s first womenโ€™s basketball graduating class in the DI era.

Four years ago, the 5โ€™7โ€ guard came to St. Paul from Minneapolis South and immediately became a full-time starter. Hill hasnโ€™t missed a game or a start.

โ€œA lot of us have been playing together for the last three years, so weโ€™ve built up a lot of connection, and we know each other really well on and off the court, which I think makes the biggest difference,โ€ the Minneapolis native said after a workout.

After scoring over 2,700 points at South, including a school single game high of 52 points, Hill maintained her scoring prowess as a Tommie. Last season, she earned second team all-league honors, including hitting her 1,000th career point in late January.

When told that her assist totals have increased each year, Hill admitted, โ€œI didnโ€™t know that. Thatโ€™s good. I feel like Iโ€™m always dishing out, looking for my teammates and trying to get them involved. I definitely want to keep improving my numbers.โ€ Hill and teammate Amber Scalia made the Summer Leagueโ€™s preseason second team.

โ€œJade does so many things,โ€ added Coach Ruth Sinn of Hill.

โ€œThe thing that has been enjoyable coaching Jade is she always wants to improve. She always wants to take that next step.โ€
