Netflix’s hit reality show Love is Blind is taking its social experiment to new heights—and new places. For its eighth season, the series is heading to the heart of the Midwest: Minneapolis. Known for its resilient communities, rich culture, and cold winters, the Twin Cities are set to host a season filled with bold personalities, raw emotions, and the perennial question: Is love truly blind?

A Valentine’s Day Premiere

It’s no coincidence that Season 8 premieres on February 14, Valentine’s Day—a fitting debut for a show that challenges what it means to fall in love. Over 32 singles—the largest cast in the show’s history—will enter the pods to connect with potential partners, sight unseen. Spanning ages 26 to 43, the cast offers a diverse mix of personalities, experiences, and intentions, with Sagittarius women and Taurus men ruling the astrological charts.

For those unfamiliar, Love is Blind asks the ultimate question: Can emotional connections surpass physical attraction? The stakes are high, as each participant seeks something many of us crave—a love that transcends appearances.

Filming for the new season wasn’t confined to the pods. The Love is Blind crew made stops at some of Minneapolis’ favorite spots, including Pryes Brewing, O’Shaughnessy Distilling Company, and Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater. Even everyday moments in the city were captured, with residents spotting film crews at 365 Nicollet.

The excitement among locals is palpable. In fact, Umbra, a downtown venue, is hosting a watch party on February 15 to celebrate the show’s first two episodes. Guests can look forward to themed drinks in the show’s iconic gold cups, brunch bites, and plenty of Instagrammable moments.
